CAMEO METAL PRODUCTS has specialized in the manufacture and finishing of metal components for over 40 years. Established in 1971 by Antonino Di Maio in Brooklyn, NY, Cameo began operating from a 5,000 sq. ft. metal finishing shop, which specialized in metal components for several US pen manufacturers. In 1974 Antonino’s son, Vito joined the Cameo team, helping his father grow the business. With Antonino’s manufacturing expertise in the building of custom equipment, Vito tactically steered the company in the direction of packaging components primarily for the cosmetics and fragrance industries. In the early 1980s Cameo invested in the start of a metal forming division to compliment it’s metal finishing division. By the early 1990s, Cameo had expanded to two manufacturing sites with a combined space of more than 100,000 sq. ft.

In 1999 Vito’s eldest son joined the company, further expanding it’s global presence by developing a fresh corporate identity at trade shows, and an industry-first website with a complete online catalog of stock packaging components. In 2006 Vito’s youngest son joined the company and implemented a new quality control system, ensuring the continuation of his grandfather’s legacy of impeccable quality and service. Today Cameo Metal Products has grown to four manufacturing sites, with a combined space of over 250,000 sq ft., and has solidified it’s position as a global leader in metal packaging components. Cameo Metal Products is still wholly owned and operated by the Di Maio family in Brooklyn, NY.

Finishing:

Decorating Services: 
Using precision machinery, Cameo Metal Products is able to transform customer’s metal components into pieces of art, enabling customers to achieve different looks at added values. Cameo’s Digital Design Staff is able to retouch logos and old artwork, transforming them into new marketable items customers can sell.

Assembly: 
Cameo Metal Products maintains multiple high-speed semi-automatic assembly machines. Using a variety of adhesives, flange and flair techniques, roll over, press fit, snap fit processes, Cameo is able to assemble the most complex of assemblies. Cameo’s machinery is capable of completing specialty orders that require special handling or difficult multi-piece assemblies. From a simple 2 piece metal to plastic inner assembly to a complicated 4 to 6 piece collaboration, Cameo is able to perform the task you need.

Injection Molding: 
Cameo Metal Products partners with a local injection molder, who exclusively maintains a selection of injection mold presses for Cameo. The small partnership enables Cameo to be versatile and keep our customer’s costs low. The injection molder is capable of building 4-12 competitively priced cavity tools, and conducts tooling and manufacturing under the watchful Cameo eye, enabling our customers to become more flexible in todays era of business.
