Smashbox, which refreshed its primer collection last year, has unveiled a new-age social campaign, Prime Time TV: 5 Seconds to Great Skin, in partnership with TikTok creators to celebrate the brand's pivot into active, skin-first makeup.
Hosted by singer and YouTube personality, Trevi Moran, the series will follow a podcast format designed to dismantle the idea that primer isn’t for everyone – and can’t do more for your skin in less time.
Prime Time TV: 5 Seconds to Great Skin marks a pivotal moment for the brand as they shift their product philosophy to include not only high-performance wear, but vegan and cruelty-free ingredients that promote healthy-looking skin, while still extending the wear of makeup.
Prime Time TV: 5 Seconds to Great Skin will air throughout the week on Smashbox’s TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram channels with the first going live on March 13th.
The #5SecondSkinContest will be held entirely on TikTok, driven by @trevimoran, calling for Creators to submit casting videos going from bare faced to a look that highlights their unique features. Winners will be shot at Smashbox Studios by founder and acclaimed photographer Davis Factor.
“This is a full circle moment for me,” said Moran. “Photo Finish Reduce Redness Primer [the OG formula] was the first product I ever put on my skin, and during a transformative moment in my life. And that kind of thing just sticks with you because it was about more than just looking better – it was about feeling like myself. I want to inspire others to feel like that, too.”
