Mustela has launched a new Organic Collection with Olive Oil and Aloe.
The products are made with 99% naturally-derived ingredients, and the packaging is made from sustainably-sourced sugar cane.
Mustela developed the collection in partnership with its parent company Expanscience Laboratories, as well as parents, midwives, pharmacists and an NGO. It is safe enough to use on babies and effective enough to be used by the rest of the family, the company says.
Catherine D'Aragon, general manager, North America, says, "As a B-Corporation Certified company, this collection is in keeping with our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint to zero by the year 2030. It has been specifically designed to be environmentally conscious inside and out, and we're thrilled to introduce this collection to sustainably-minded consumers who share our core values."
Formulated with organic olive oil cold-pressed from olives grown on family-owned groves in the South of France, the products are vegan, fragrance-free, and made with few ingredients, 99% of which are naturally-derived. The products are enriched with soothing ingredients including organic aloe vera and organic sunflower oil.
The line includes four skin care essentials, and they are biodegradable formulas: Organic Cleansing Gel, Organic Micellar Water with Olive Oil and Aloe, Organic Hydrating Cream with Olive Oil and Aloe, ad Diaper Cream with Olive Oil & Aloe.
Three of the products meet EWG-Verified criteria for ingredient safety and transparency.
As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, Mustela has removed all cartons and secondary packaging to minimize its environmental footprint.
The packaging includes bottles and tubes, made from sustainably-sourced sugar cane plastic.
The line is available for purchase on the brand's website and on Amazon.
