BolognaFiere Cosmoprof has announced that Liza Rapay has been named the new head of North America marketing to run Cosmoprof Las Vegas (CPNA) in partnership with the Professional Beauty Association (PBA). All North America marketing operations and functions will report to Rapay in the new Cosmoprof North America office located in New York City. Rapay succeeds Daniela Ciocan, former CPNA marketing director.
Prior to joining BolognaFiere Cosmoprof, Rapay was the North America marketing director for Clinique, an Estée Lauder company.
While at ELC, Rapay was selected for the company’s prestigious sponsorship to complete the graduate business program at the Fashion Institute of Technology, in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management.
Rapay also brings 10 years of book publishing experience. In 1993, she started working for Ballantine Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House, LLC. She is bilingual and studied both in the U.S. and Asia.
Ciocan left her position at Cosmoprof NA after 12 years to pursue other interests in the beauty industry, including as producer on the new reality beauty competition “The Look All Stars” on CW and several other TV projects to be announced.
