Jean-Marc Plisson has been hired to lead Shiseido Americas Corporation’s newly created Beauty Prestige Group, which includes the Shiseido brand, the group’s various designer fragrance brands, and Laura Mercier. NARS and Bare Escentuals, will continue to operate separately. As president of the Group, Plisson will focus on growing the Dolce & Gabbana business, growing the Shiseido brand in the U.S. and defining and implementing a worldwide growth strategy for Laura Mercier.
Plisson brings more than 20 years of experience in the luxury cosmetics industry, most recently as global CEO of Fresh Inc., an LVMH luxury skin care and fragrance brand. He has held numerous executive roles at LVMH, including at Dior, Givenchy, Guerlain and Aqua Di Parma.
Deanna Johnston has been appointed chief information officer at Shiseido Americas. She will work to further develop the company’s strategic roadmap and organizational structure, and will play an important role in the corporate structure serving Shiseido’s prestige brands in the Americas. Johnston, a former executive at Haier Group, will report to Ronald Gee, chief financial officer of Shiseido Americas.
