Canadian cosmetics developer, manufacturer and distributor, Groupe Marcelle, has acquired Lise Watier Cosmétiques, which now makes it Canada’s leading company in the beauty industry—as well as getting it nearer to its goal of becoming one of the 100 largest global cosmetics manufacturers, according to David Cape, president of Groupe Marcelle.
Cape says, “This acquisition is aligned with our strategic growth plan and enables us to diversify our portfolio with the addition of a prestigious and complementary brand.”
Groupe Marcelle’s transaction was made possible due to an $18-million investment by la Caisse, one of Canada’s leading institutional fund managers.
