More than 200 exhibitors—all on one floor—will showcase the best of their creative packaging at the12th edition of Luxe Pack NY, May 14-15, at Pier 92 in Manhattan (711 12th Avenue; 55th Street and the West Side Highway). About 40 of the industry suppliers will be participating for the first time. The new venue, a premium exhibition space, was chosen to accommodate the growing list of exhibitors and attendees, and increase accessibility to all the show’s features. Products and services available will include bags, cartons, bottles, caps, labels, pumps, valves, cosmetic accessories, decorative techniques and more.
In addition, Luxe Pack will launch a new pavilion, Luxe Promo, as a dedicated show-within-a-show for creative promotional items for beauty and beverage brands. Offerings of customized and standard POS merchandise, gifts with purchase, promotional gifts and other high-end premiums will include beauty items such as makeup bags, manicure sets, hair ornaments, samples, candles, soaps, massage gloves, towels, bathrobes, relaxation CDs, notebooks and jewelry; and beverage items such as glasses, recipe books, mixers, coasters, tasting utensils, ice buckets, corkscrews and more.
Nathalie Grosdidier, executive director, explains the addition: “Leading executives from top brands asked us to help them find creative high-end premiums and promotional items for their loyalty, gift and holiday initiatives. We really saw a need in the market that wasn’t being met.”
Seminar and Awards Programs
As always, a full seminar program will educate and enlighten visitors to the show. Topics will include environmentally friendly packaging, the art of perfumery, augmented reality technology, global packaging trends, designing for online sales, spirits packaging, nuances in the luxury market, creative collaborations and more.
Following on its success at Luxe Pack Monaco and Luxe Pack Shanghai, Luxe Pack NY will introduce its Luxe Pack in Green award this year. Beauty Packaging magazine will sponsor the award in conjunction with its April/May feature story on Environmentally Responsible Packaging.
The Luxe Pack in Green award was designed to recognize the exhibitor presenting the most innovative, environmentally friendly packaging solution.
A jury has been selected to review the entries and select the winner based on sustainable criteria including materials, new and efficient processes and technologies. The jury members are: George Beylerian, founder, Material ConneXion; Dan Denisoff, senior vice president, operations, Pernod Ricard; Anisa Kamadoli Costa, vice president–global sustainability & corporate responsibility, Tiffany & Co.; Henry Renella, senior vice president for global package development, The Estée Lauder Companies; Jamie Matusow, editor, Beauty Packaging magazine.
Entries will be displayed at the show, and the award will be presented on May 14.
The Green Award competition is open to Luxe Pack NY exhibitors only.
Last year’s show attracted nearly 3,000 visitors.
