In the video above, Hafkin speaks about consumers’ role in product development, how the pandemic has changed the way we work together—and the packaging issue that’s most dear to his heart.

In the early '90s, as a recent grad, Allan Hafkin accepted his first position at The Estée Lauder Companies as a product supervisor. Except for a stint at another leading beauty brand, Allan has spent nearly his entire career at ELC.

At the start, he was fascinated by manufacturing and automation, but did not have experience in the development of packaging. Over the course of his career he gained expertise in the transformation processes involved in the development of complex luxury packaging and the impact that packaging has on the value chain and the consumer experience.
