A New Publisher—and a New Buyers’ Guide
Beauty Packaging welcomes a new publisher, as the 2008 edition of Beauty Packaging’s Buyers’ Guide rolls off the presses.
What a month! Beauty Packaging has lots of big news. For one, we have welcomed a new publisher: Jay Gorga. Many of you already know Jay, as he was formerly HBA Global Expo show director in 2006 and 2007, and had worked on HBA as its director of sales and marketing in the late ’90s when it was part of Miller Freeman. Jay has more than 20 years’ experience in bringing new, innovative products to the marketplace utilizing his entrepreneurial, sales, event management and customer service skills. He has a proven track record in managing trade shows and association programs in the technical and packaging sectors and has developed successful event marketing plans, sales proposals and brand enhancement vehicles that have resulted in increased audience participation and event growth.
In his new role, Jay will be responsible for growing the Beauty Packaging print and online brand and working closely with advertisers, partners and associations to ensure that Beauty Packaging remains a vital and relevant publication for the beauty industry.
Second, this month’s issue of Beauty Packaging contains our 2008 Buyers’ Guide, the annual directory of suppliers serving the cosmetic and personal care packaging industry. Are you frantically sourcing a supplier for your latest packaging project? Let us help! We offer you two convenient ways to get connected: Search by either company or by service. Keep this issue close at hand throughout the year for quick selection—but if, by chance, you find it’s disappeared from your desk, simply log on to www.beautypackaging.com for instant access to our constantly updated online version of the Buyers’ Guide.
I hope you’ll also enjoy this month’s feature stories, which include a review of packaging trends spotted at boutique-like Luxe Pack NY, a look at the latest developments in the caps and closures market, and a report on current shifts in the personal hygiene arena.
I look forward to speaking with you in the aisles of HBA!
