Humanrace, the global product company founded by Pharrell Williams, has unveiled its latest product, the Humidifying Body Cream, on the heels of the brand’s Fall 2021 entry into the bodycare category.
Available for consumers starting March 31, 2022, the Humidifying Body Cream is developed to hydrate, firm and smooth skin. The formula captures the benefits of humid climates while introducing new face-grade ingredients to skin on the body.
“Humidity brings essential moisture to the skin that you may otherwise be missing.” says Pharrell Williams. “I carve out time each morning to take care of myself and its important when moisturizing to not just focus on your face, but your entire body as well.”
Co-founder and president of Humanrace, Rachel Muscat, says, “The Humidifying Body Cream comes as a natural next step for Humanrace, following the significant response we had from our first venture into bodycare last year. We believe that our customers and subscribers truly understand the importance of integrating the time for a routine into their daily lives and we are eager for them to discover and incorporate this third step into their everyday bodycare ritual.”
Bakuchiol is a plant-based alternative to retinol that is safe for sensitive skin while being just as effective, working to firm, smooth and repair the skin. Bakuchiol is rarely seen in bodycare products, something the brand wanted to encourage consumers to begin using, taking the same practices from the face to the rest of the body.
This ultra-hydrating cream works alongside Peptide and Snow Mushroom Extract, a signature key ingredient for the brand. Snow Mushroom contains adaptogenic properties, thoroughly hydrating the skin while adapting to all skin types.
Dr. Elena Jones, MD, says, “We chose Bakuchiol, a relatively new ingredient to the skincare industry, as one of our key ingredients in the Humidifying Body Cream. It is plant derived, gentler, yet equally as effective as retinol. It helps to improve the skin’s elasticity, texture and tone while offering firming benefits. Unlike retinol, Bakuchiol is tolerated by all skin types, even sensitive skin.”
The Humidifying Body Cream is packaged in a 51% post-consumer recycled refillable jar to encourage consumers to reduce usage of single-use plastic products and is formulated with ingredients that follow EU standards, excluding 1,300 harmful ingredients that are banned in the EU.
The Humidifying Body Cream is cruelty free, fragrance free and vegan, as well as dermatologist tested and approved.
The Humanrace Humidifying Body Cream ($54) will launch alongside the Humidifying Body Cream Refill ($50) exclusively on the Humanrace website on March 31, 2022.
