Replete Skincare sponsored the 2014 Haute Couture Fashion Event, which took place October 25th at the Fairmont hotel in San Francisco.
What's the fashion connection to skincare? The brand says "skin should be treated like haute couture."
At the event, Parisian haute couture designers, Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov of on aura tout vu, showed their Fall/Winter 2014-2015 collection, while rising American couture designer Mimi Tran presented her Spring 2015 collection.
Elisabeth Thieriot, founder of Replete skincare, commented:
"After you take your clothes off, your skin is all you have. Your skin should be treated with as much care and attention as any couture item. This is what drove me to found Replete Skincare, and hold this event. San Francisco is a thriving fashion hub, but I did not feel that anyone was really engaging with the fashion and beauty community in a way I knew we could do."
More than 400 fashion fans and industry insiders were in attendance. A percentage of all ticket sales were donated to Reason to Party, an all-volunteer San Francisco 501(3)c non-profit that raises funds in fun ways for extraordinary local nonprofits. The funds are earmarked for Samasource, a nonprofit that helps connect poor women and youth to training and employment in the digital economy.
