Organizers say LPNY’s 2026 East Coast edition was its ‘strongest’ ever. Full plastic, recyclable packaging was quoted ‘as the next step in the product sustainability journey.’

With more than 240 exhibitors and 5,500 attendees, LPNY provided a comprehensive rundown of what’s on trend in the global beauty industry. From primary and secondary packaging to decorative techniques, applicators, materials and more, it was a welcome networking opportunity for brands, suppliers and industry experts to make vital connections and share their views. As you’ll see in this show report, manufacturers have been busy accelerating their packaging options to connect with brands and consumers worldwide.
Luxe Pack NY 2026 opened on May 6th for a two-day run at NYC’s Javits Center with its “largest exhibition to date,” according to show organizers. Over 240 exhibitors (primarily beauty industry players) showcased packaging solutions from bottles to pouches, with an emphasis on all-plastic recyclables. The LPNY team reported a record crowd of 5,500 attendees.
The internationally diverse edition represented more than 22 countries and spanned 35+ product categories across the full spectrum of premium packaging; 82 were U.S.-based exhibitors.
According to the Luxe Pack team, “Luxe Pack New York 2026 reflected a pivotal shift in how the industry approaches packaging, not as a finishing touch, but as a strategic, measurable driver of brand value. Our goal was to bring together the most advanced solutions and the most forward-thinking minds to help brands navigate complexity, accelerate innovation, and build more responsible, high-performing packaging ecosystems.”
Aisles filled up quickly at Javits, as exhibitors hailed New York City’s attractive venue as a strong one, due to many beauty companies’ local presence and “lots of creative teams” in attendance. Overall, conversations remained optimistic for the beauty industry, as market sales numbers show strength despite geopolitical situations. Fragrance, especially, has not slowed course, and there were many examples of innovative possibilities from bottle suppliers on the show floor. Captivating deco techniques have soared to new levels. Categories other than fragrance are also expanding. Several suppliers told us, “Haircare is booming right now.”
With suppliers looking to grow markets and reduce costs and bureaucracy, there seemed to be more international exhibitors than in previous years. Manufacturers in various parts of the world continue to join or access similar companies, or add NA reps, making it easier and more productive, and sometimes, less costly, to carry out regional production.
Tubes were a popular item among visitors and exhibitors, with new shapes, decoration such as vacuum-metallized PET, and interesting construction; Neopac introduced a mono-material-paper tube that won this year’s Luxe Pack in Green packaging award. Unique-looking cartons also stood out around the show floor; one supplier told me, “There’s a big market for them—especially when it comes to capturing attention from influencers.”
Refillables (see our feature story on page 18) have also taken a leap forward, as they meet a number of sustainability goals, especially when looking ahead to upcoming EPR and PPWR legislation and deadlines. Glass on glass, PET refill pouches, and ease of replacement are all helping to attract consumer interest.
A “push” toward plastic (PET and r-PET) was also evident. Tubes, pumps, jars, caps, and bottles have increasingly launched in ‘full plastic’ mono-materials to maximize easy recyclability. Several applicators and packs addressed the issue of “no product waste,” as they were designed to use “every last drop,” of formula, a growing concern among consumers.
Gestures and targeted sprays were created to trigger a sensorial experience by the user. With more attention now focused on haircare, there was also a trend toward larger product sizes.
Overall, “sustainable packaging” once a novelty, appears to now be a given, with a range of options from most suppliers.
Following is a rundown of suppliers and packaging highlights we spotted on the show floor. Companies are arranged in alphabetical order:
At Luxe Pack New York, ABA Packaging showcased a range of elevated packaging solutions focused on customization, sustainability and premium decoration capabilities for the cosmetic, fragrance, personal care, and beauty industries. The company highlighted its expanding portfolio of stock and custom packaging options, including bottles, jars, aluminum tubes, airless systems, and dispensing solutions designed to help brands achieve a luxury aesthetic while maintaining speed to market.
A major focus at the show was ABA’s stock aluminum bottle program available from its Ronkonkoma, NY, facility. With low minimum order quantities (just a few hundred pieces!) and fast turnaround times, the offering gives brands of all sizes greater access to eco-friendly, sustainable packaging solutions without the long lead times and high production MOQs often associated with custom production. The lightweight and recyclable aluminum formats drew strong interest from brands seeking both premium appearance and environmental responsibility.
ABA also showcased an extensive selection of stock glass packaging, with particular attention around fragrance applications. Full-size fragrance packages, sampler vials, and rollerball packaging options generated significant interest from attendees looking for scalable solutions within the growing prestige fragrance category.
Additional highlights included advanced decoration techniques and sustainable material options, reflecting the continued demand for environmentally conscious beauty packaging. ABA Packaging’s exhibit underscored the industry’s growing emphasis on combining premium shelf appeal with functionality, flexibility and sustainability across skincare, fragrance, haircare, and personal care categories.
Apogee made its first-time appearance at Luxe Pack New York, with a collection of innovative fragrance bottles and caps. Apogee Founder Rob Lynch, called out the elegance of the Kenzo K3 fragrance packaging (shown), which was designed as a tribute to the life of designer Kenzo Takada. The glass bottle is a tall, slender rectangle with soft edges and a clean, elegant silhouette. The gold gradation of the bottle decoration is achieved through metallization. The cap’s most distinctive and innovative feature is achieved through the hand-applied water transfer label, which creates a kintsugi-like pattern—an homage to the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold seams.
Aptar Beauty, a leader in dispensing systems, introduced a new generation of all-plastic pumps designed for sustainability. The Advance Collection (shown) consists of full polyolefin pumps to maximize recyclability, starting with two “best-selling” personal care dispensing solutions: the GSA Advance dispensing pump and the PZ Advance spray pump. Both are made of Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE), from the polyolefin family, making them suitable for the main plastic recycling streams, while guaranteeing the same high performance and design.
Luigi Garofalo, Global Category Director Personal Care and Home Care, said, “Full plastic, recyclable packaging is the next step in the product sustainability journey. The Advance Collection represents a new dawn in packaging dispensing solutions.”
The PZ Advance is described as an easy-to-use, high-performance spray pump with a high-quality spray pattern delivering a 190mcl dose. This polyolefin solution comes with a full-plastic cartridge. POM-free and PCR-capable, PZ Advance is rated “Highly Recyclable” (when paired with an HDPE, PP or PET bottle) by independent certification agency Institute CYCLOS-HTP.
One of the standout packs at custom packaging expert Bakic, was an innovative refill deodorant concept described as “the kind of packaging that creates a sustainable and desirable value.” Bakic says their various fine mist sprayers “have redefines how products are applied, enhancing performance, comfort, and control.” The company’s Loop compact meets all current eco regulations and shows that sustainability can still be premium.
Anton Meindl, VP Sales, Bakic, says, “Our bold packaging lines are designed to elevate both product performance and consumer experience, creating a refined ritual.”
Fine mist sprayers, including this one for Sera, which have been trendy due to various shifts in both consumer behavior and product design, were also a hit.
“Today’s consumers expect more than functionality,” according to Meindl, “they expect a unique and sensory experience.” Fine mist sprayers enhance the product efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall perceived value. From a business perspective, he says, “it’s a simple upgrade that can make your product feel more high-end without rethinking the entire formula of your products or your strategy.”
The magic, according to Meindl, lies in the droplet size. He said advanced sprayers create micro-droplets (often between 30-80 microns), forming a delicate, almost invisible mist without dripping.
Baralan, headquartered in Milan, debuted its new Last Drop System (shown) at Luxe Pack New York. The innovative applicator system features a push-button mechanism, designed to optimize product usage and reduce waste. The new device integrates a button-activated mechanism that allows the applicator to reach the product at the bottom of the bottle through “a simple and controlled gesture.” This solution eliminates the need to repeatedly unscrew and screw the brush when the product is nearly finished, making usage easier while reducing product waste in the final stages and improving overall system efficiency.
In addition, Baralan says the system “is designed to ensure flexible application and adaptability to different types of applicators, including nail polish brushes, lip brushes, mascara, concealer, and other makeup solutions, allowing usage possibilities for many brands. The brush is also equipped with an automatic return system that retracts it into position when the cap is closed, ensuring a cleaner, more precise, and user-friendly experience aligned with contemporary consumer expectations. From a materials perspective, the component is made of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), a design choice oriented toward recyclability and the simplification of end-of-life processes. This innovation also responds to the growing consumer focus on reducing waste, particularly in the makeup segment, where residual product often represents a significant issue.
Glass on glass was a standout feature at Bormioli, especially with the Italian manufacturer’s refillable Reverre jar. Jennifer Duffy explained that a plastic ring holds the jar in place and can be easily removed for recycling. The item can be produced turnkey; various caps are available.
At Canopy, decorated jars and caps were a highlight. Carley Propst told Beauty Packaging, “Our in-mold decoration capabilities are generating a lot of excitement with customers at the show.” She explained, “Not only do these technologies help eliminate secondary decorating processes and additional mixed materials for a more sustainable solution, but they also create a more premium, durable finish that truly lasts.”
Propst said that In-Mold Labeling (IML) on both the cap and jar continues to be a major differentiator for Canopy at tradeshows, as “we are still not seeing this technology widely used on jars in the market.” One of the newest innovations within this capability is textured finishes that create a more elevated, sensorial package experience.
Canopy’s In-Mold Frosted (IMF) finish (shown) also continues to attract strong interest, according to Propst, especially from customers looking for more premium packaging options.
On the heels of its purchase of Asquan, and now a dual company, Cosmogen highlighted its Glossy Lip Tube Slanted (shown), which completes the Glossy Lip Tube Rounded range. According to Cosmogen CEO Priscille Allais, “These two lip applicator tube versions address the growing demand for color-dedicated packaging, while enabling brands to differentiate.”
Glossy Lip Tube Slanted stands out with its slanted, sculpted, and slightly scooped applicator. Its shape “closely hugs the lips, allowing for smooth, even, and controlled application.”
They also introduced a new PET stick, specifically designed for solid complexion formulas and easy application, including on-the-go. Made from mono-material PET, this stick is available with all components in r-PET.
Eco Needle Tube and Eco Mini Squeeze’n Ball also joined Cosmogen’s Ecoline range: 100% mono-material and fully recyclable. The Ecoline ready-to-go, eco-designed packaging range embodies Cosmogen’s eco-design approach through a complete collection of solutions developed in recyclable mono-materials, mainly polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), to facilitate sorting and recycling.
Cosmopak drew lots of attention at its attractive bright red booth, filled with an entire turnkey collection of poppy-colored products, from sticks, to jars, to accessories and bags. The theme was Beauty in Motion, which Walter Dwyer, CEO and owner, said was meant to “ignite things in beauty.” There was also a focus on applicators, including for cooling, dual-usage, wiping, priming, and more.
Eastman highlighted its fully recyclable 100% PCR glass jar that’s “fully recyclable.” They use a molecular recycling process that transforms hard-to-recycle waste into beautiful clear-as-glass PCR.
GPI Beauty showcased an assortment of innovative designs including the Swerve Stick and the Comb-ination Tottle.
The Swerve Stick (shown) is a high-performance, multi-use skin and body balm designed with a signature 45° ergonomic slant. Engineered to follow the body’s natural contours, it delivers smooth, controlled application “with precision and ease gliding seamlessly across skin for targeted, effortless coverage.”
Built for life on the go, the Comb-ination Tottle combines targeted application with effortless styling. The integrated comb dispenses formula directly to the scalp or through hair for even, mess-free distribution—anytime, anywhere.
La Cazadora says it was the first company in Mexico to manufacture collapsible metal tubes for toothpaste in 1936. Today, with more than 80 years of expertise, they provide a full selection of caps and tubes for various markets, including beauty. Cold foil deco on tubes is a specialty.
Lumson showcased its latest launches, including FREE, its metal-free pump that “introduces a new generation of cosmetic dispensing technology by getting rid of the traditional metal spring.” The core is an advanced polymer from aerospace and medical applications, adapted for the beauty industry: durable, lightweight, flexible, resistant to mechanical, thermal, and chemical stress. The name FREE reflects freedom from metal, design constraints, and environmental compromise, while maintaining performances equal to the traditional metal-spring pumps. Entirely developed in-house, FREE delivers long-term dosage accuracy, effortless actuation, and enhanced user comfort, and has obtained RecyClass Technology Approval Full, compatible with PP stream and Letter of Compatibility (LoC)– Class A*.
Among the company’s latest launches is MOON, Lumson’s first glass mascara realized in collaboration with Ponzini. MOON is a 10ml glass bottle with a clean, streamlined design conceived to enhance the formula within thorough transparency, reflection, and depth.
Montebello is the North American manufacturer of a complete line of sustainable aluminum packaging, including tubes, aerosol cans, and laminate tubes. They have a full-service graphics department “to help execute the enhancement of your package image.”
Steven McPhail Vice President Sales & Marketing at Montebello Packaging, showed Beauty Packaging their new laminate tube, with no visible seam on the outside. In addition, as these tubes are a lighter weight, McPhail says they will help with new EPR laws.
Those who flocked to Nuon Medical’s multiple booths at Luxe Pack New York, were interested in how the company’s focus shifts beyond traditional packaging toward integrated beauty-tech solutions. The manufacturer showed how technologies such as skin diagnostics, phototherapy, microcurrents, and thermal interactions can enhance product performance and enable more personalized user experiences.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore how data-driven beauty applications are reshaping the way brands design and deliver cosmetic products, “moving toward more intelligent and experience-led solutions.”
At Yonwoo/PKG Group, Kristen Cohen, Senior Manager of Marketing, explained that mono-material is the current marketing trend. Each major show that the group participates in will highlight a different technology treatment—and a new collection. “This idea follows Korean trends that do something similar,” explained Cohen.
The Luxe Pack in Green Awards, held May 7 in partnership with Infinity Global, recognized leading advancements in sustainable packaging, complemented by the “in green” innovation display.
In the packaging category, Neopac was awarded first place for its PaperX FiberTop tube, which represents a breakthrough in fiber-based packaging design. Anna Soden, Sales Manager, describes it as “the world’s first tube designed to be fully recyclable in the conventional paper recycling stream while offering the functionality of a barrier tube. Unlike conventional “paper tubes” that rely on plastic laminations, it integrates paper-based solutions across all main components: tube body, shoulder, and closure, and makes it the first paper-based tube to include “a functional barrier not only in the body but also in the shoulder.” The fiber cap, “developed in collaboration with an innovation partner,” is made from a proprietary fiber material containing more than 95% FSC®-certified cellulosic fibers.
Pure Trade was awarded first place in the Luxe Pack in Green Awards: Best Social Impact/ Societal Initiative, for an inclusive employment program developed within its supply chain. This initiative focuses on creating professional integration opportunities for vulnerable individuals through collaborations between supplier factories, local NGO partners, and Pure Trade teams. The program combines vocational training adapted to the packaging industry, employment pathways, and long-term support mechanisms as part of a broader responsible sourcing approach.
About the judges: This year’s Luxe Pack in Green judges were Vinita Jayant, Director of Product Development, Henry Rose; Sherrie Hughes, Director, Sustainable Packaging, The Estee Lauder Companies; Victor Casale, CEO & Co-founder, MOB and Pact Collective; Monica Becker, Sr. Director Strategy & Development, Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute; Jamie Matusow; Editor-in-Chief, Beauty Packaging Magazine; Leva Svatos, VP, MBDC.
At Pretium, Jessica Ransburg showed Beauty Packaging examples of their modified tooling. Also, rather than soft-touch, a matte-finish jar with texture created a frosted look with transparency.
At Pujolasos, based in Spain, CEO Angel Pujolasos, presented a selection of beautiful, decorative wooden caps, including a luxury design for the latest Sol de Janeiro fragrance launch (shown). The vertical cap has a wide dropper tube shape.
One highlight at SGD Pharma Beauty & Care was the striking premium glass packaging and decoration they had developed for Estée Lauder’s Revitalizing Supreme+ Sculpting Face Serum (shown). The elegant 50ml bottle features a luminous golden aesthetic, enhanced by a sophisticated gradient metallization that creates a luxurious, modern finish. This refined decoration, said Sheherazade Chamlou, VP of Sales, Beauty Americas, supports the product’s high-performance ‘5D Facelift’ positioning and elevates its visual impact on shelf.”
Many of SGD’s latest innovations focused on sustainable, premium beauty glass packaging, guided by the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
One example of Reduce, for instance, was the NOVA Lightweight Glass Bottle Range, which is 20% lighter, engineered to lower CO₂ emissions while maintaining full performance. The ECLIPSE Refillable Glass Jar supports circularity through an elegant reusable twist & lock system.
Advanced decoration capabilities include PVD, digital printing, and various types of metallization effects, offering distinctive fully recyclable luxury finishes.
Silgan Dispensing showcased products “that highlight the key pillars of its strategy and innovation in a constantly evolving market,” such as products designed and manufactured in North American factories, close to the markets. LifeCycle Technology solutions include plastic springs whose innovative design eliminates the need for metals and non-recyclable materials. They promote recyclability without compromising performance.
At SWM International, Livia Delort explained that the 100-year-old company was focusing on flexibles to customize packaging, including translucent paper used to wrap soap. One type of paper was used for a fragrance box, as it’s recyclable, biodegradable, and see-through.
TNT Group drew visitors via its reputation for attention-grabbing packaging, especially items made with a metallic component, like the bow-shaped ornamental caps for Secret Crush (shown) and Sweetheart by LoveShackFancy.
For both caps, TNT Group engineered multi-part assemblies with strict requirements to minimize gaps and ensure long-term durability. This achievement highlights the Group’s ability to combine aesthetic appeal with industrial expertise. For Secret Crush, a finalist at the Fragrance Foundation Awards, the cap features a vacuum-metallized finish for a shiny satin gold effect. The Sweetheart cap is spray-coated with glitter powder to create a sparkling finish. Both creations reflect a romantic and contemporary aesthetic, in line with the creative vision of Founder & Creative Director Rebecca Hessel Cohen and the identity of LoveShackFancy.
Virospack’s Joanna Milne shared info on some of the hair trends they are pursuing, as well as their range of sustainable, complete-PCR droppers (shown). The company continues to prioritize materials such as recycled glass and plastics to minimize environmental impact.
Virospack’s dropper range is available in multiple formats, including different models, capacities, and standard neck finishes, as well as customized pipette lengths, tips, and color finishes. Each component incorporates a high percentage of PCR materials—polypropylene (PP) for the collar and pipette, and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) for the bulb—contributing to reduced CO₂ emissions and improved product lifecycle performance.
This solution integrates seamlessly with Virospack’s glass vial range, available in capacities from 2- to 50ml and recyclable at the end of their life cycle. In addition, Virospack’s tubular vials offer extensive customization possibilities without requiring new mold investments, providing flexibility and brand differentiation. All products are produced in-house.
Vonco, which is 20% beauty-based, showed some Josie Maran pouches in various sizes. Much of their pouch packaging is for refills, including hand soap.
Wynalda Packaging specializes in paperboard and plastic folding cartons, rigid boxes, and molded pulp packaging. With custom packaging design, prototyping, printing, foil stamping, die-cutting, gluing, pulp molding, and rigid box assembly all done in-house, they can manage an entire project from start to finish. Wynalda Packaging has a strong presence in the health & beauty, food & beverage, entertainment, and electronics markets—and has “a passion for solving packaging problems with innovative and creative solutions.”
