A new study has revealed which U.S. hair care company is the most searched for this year—and it’s not a traditional household-name brand you may expect.
Amika, recently acquired by Bansk Group, originated from supplying hair salons and then branching out to consumer sales, but what has set them apart and helped contribute to their popularity this year is having clear business values that seem to resonate with a lot of people, as well as a diverse product range, says Curlcentric.
Inclusive advertising campaigns and B-Corp certification has also helped Amika stand out in such a crowded industry.
Kira Byrd, hair stylist and founder of hair care website, Curlcentric.com, comments: “The results of our research are a reflection on the increasing demand for affordable-luxury hair care products that are cruelty free, and consumers choosing to buy from companies who recognize the importance of inclusivity and diversity.”
