Key trends at MakeUp in Paris 2026

MakeUp in Paris 2026, June 17-18 at the Carrousel du Louvre, will showcase three key trends on the show floor—and a revamped conference program.

Show organizers state: “We have identified and analyzed several underlying movements running through the industry.”

Here are the trends you’ll find on the show floor—and more about the speakers.

Trend #1— Nocturnal Beauty: sleep is for ‘active skincare,’ not just rest.

Chrono-active serums, regenerating masks, and skincare formulas synchronized with the user’s circadian rhythm will all be on display at MakeUp in Paris 2026. “Skin repairs while the body recovers,” organizers state. It seems that beauty consumers have rediscovered sleep as “an act of health.”

Trend #2—Blush is essential, and diverse.

Exhibitors will be showcasing sticks, balms, tinted serums, lip-and-cheek gloss, silky powders, and more. Blush is an “immediate, transformative gesture,” organizers state. “Driven by the ‘clean girl’ code and the strawberry makeup trend, blush erases the line between makeup and skincare.”

Trend #3—SPF50 products, as sun protection is now a daily habit.

Using an SPF product is now a daily habit for beauty consumers. All types of products are being infused with sun protection, blurring the lines between skincare and makeup. Exhibitors will feature mists, tinted sticks, foundations, morning serums, ultra-fine fluids, and more. And new formulation technologies mean no more sticky finishes or white casts.

The Conference Program Has 3 Pillars

The MakeUp in Paris 2026 Conference program is structured around three key pillars. These topics reflect the latest trends shaping the future of beauty.

Pillar #1—Beauty & Identity

Speakers will talk about the newest beauty trends—C-Beauty, T-Beauty, French Beauty, A-Beauty, and I-Beauty.

Pillar #2—Formulation & Innovation

The Formulation and Innovation sessions will feature speakers discussing AI & R&D, skincare actives, pigments, smart devices, and biomimicry.

Pillar #3—Experience & Wellbeing

The Experience & Wellbeing pillar focuses on skincare rituals, dermo-cosmetics, longevity, and market trends.

An Exciting Speaker Lineup

There will be over 30 speakers taking the stage at MakeUp in Paris this year. The conference speakers include: Elodie Carpentier of Le Rouge Français; Anastasia Georgievskaya of Haut.AI; Sébastien Guerra of La French Beauty; Hajir Hakim Hashemi of Laboratoires Dermeden; Dr Valérie Leduc of Maison Epigenetic; Fanny Spriet of Léa Nature; So Loic, a makeup artist and beauty influencer—and more.

In addition to the conference program, MakeUp in Paris will feature “Beauty Talks.” Six independent experts will share their views on market trends in 30-minute sessions. They are: Florence Bernardin, Louisa Legrand, Leila Rochet, Mathilde Riba, Bengt Jacobsson, and Luisa Oliva.
