Just in time for Frida Kahlo's birthday on July 6th, Ulta Beauty launched a makeup collection that pays homage to the Mexican painter.
See the Frida Kahlo by Ulta Beauty collection here in the Slideshow: A Look at Frida Kahlo by Ulta Beauty's Rose-Red Packaging.
It is available now on Ulta's website, and will launch in stores nationwide on July 22nd.
The collection includes an Artist Brush Set, Brow Master Palette, Matte Liquid Lipstick, Face Primer, Blush & Bronzer Duo, Liquid Illuminator, a cosmetic bag -- and a floral headband.
The highlight of the collection is the Signature Box -- a three-piece kit.
The Signature Box includes a keepsake collector's box filled with an eyeshadow palette, with 12 shades in matte and shimmer finishes; and a "new hue shadow switching pan."
How the 'Shadow Switching Pan' Works
The "new hue shadow switching pan" inside the Signature Box, contains two sponges. The design is brilliant -- use the sponges in the pan to clean off a makeup brush, so eye shadow colors won't mix.
Use the large black sponge to remove dry powder shadow from the brush. Dampen the small white sponge to remove cream or wet shadows and liners.
Frida Kahlo's 'Real' Makuep Was On Display
A few months ago, Revlon sponsored the Frida Kahlo Exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum.
The exhibit featured Kahlo's personal cosmetic bag, which contained a few of her personal items, including a rose-red Revlon lipstick, in vintage packaging.
