Macy’s Appoints Alexandre Choueiri as CEO of Bluemercury

Choueiri will lead Bluemercury’s overall business and growth strategy, building on the brand’s position as a leading luxury beauty retailer.

Macy’s, Inc. appointed Alexandre (Alex) Choueiri as Chief Executive Officer of Bluemercury. Choueiri will join the company on August 3, 2026, reporting directly to Olivier Bron, Chief Executive Officer of Bloomingdale’s. 

In this role, Choueiri will lead Bluemercury’s overall business and growth strategy, building on the brand’s position as a leading luxury beauty retailer.

As CEO, Choueiri will partner closely with the Bluemercury leadership team to further enhance the brand’s prestige beauty authority, accelerate growth and deliver exceptional experiences for customers.

Choueiri brings over 25 years of global luxury beauty experience spanning North America, Europe and Asia. 

Choueiri said,

Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer & President, Americas, at Kering Beauté, where he led the company’s largest region, strengthened Creed’s position in luxury fragrance, and helped launch new fragrance brands, including Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga. 

Before Kering Beauté, Choueiri spent over two decades at L’Oréal in a series of leadership roles, including Global President of Ralph Lauren Fragrances.
