Estee Lauder Cos Increases Its Restructuring Costs

Estee Lauder now estimates restructuring costs will be as much as $1.75 billion before tax.

Estée Lauder announced an increase in the expected cost of its restructuring program. Estimated costs will now be as much as $1.75 billion before tax, as it continues to streamline operations and improve business performance.

The restructuring is designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and reposition ELC for long-term growth.

The revised estimate is up from ELC’s previous forecast of roughly $1.55 billion and includes costs related to workforce reductions, asset impairments, contract terminations, and other restructuring expenses.
