Estée Lauder Cos Makes the UK Its Primary Candle Manufacturing Location

Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) is integrating select luxury candle and home fragrance capabilities into its UK network from its long-standing partner, Contract Candles.

This “strategic investment” will enable the UK to serve as ELC’s primary manufacturing base for candles across its prestige portfolio worldwide, including Jo Malone London, Tom Ford and Aerin.

ELC will lease one of Contract Candles’ two UK facilities, which is situated close to its Whitman Laboratories facility, adding new research, development and quality capabilities to the company.

Established in 1966, Whitman is a strategic part of The Estée Lauder Companies’ global manufacturing network, producing skin care and fragrance products for brands including Jo Malone London, Estée Lauder, Clinique, and La Mer. Today, the site produces over 90 million units annually for distribution across the UK, Europe, and other select markets worldwide.

The facility is a part of ELC’s global manufacturing network, producing over 90 million units annually for distribution across the UK, Europe and other select markets worldwide.

This will enhance ELC’s operational control and long-term resilience, while reinforcing the UK as a central hub for fragrance craftsmanship and manufacturing.
