IT Cosmetics founders Jamie Kern Lima and Paulo Lima were recognized for their achievements in business, winning the 2015 EY Entrepreneurs of the Year in the New Jersey Region for Retail and Consumer Products.
For Jamie Kern Lima, co-founder and CEO, the award was a professional milestone with strong emotional undertones. She launched the brand in 2008 after spending much of her life struggling to flawlessly cover up her severe rosacea and hyperpigmentation with other products that simply wouldn't work. IT Cosmetics is the result of tireless dedication and strategic partnerships with plastic surgeons and cosmetic dermatologists. Today, the brand has over 200 color cosmetics and skin care products in its line and holds the No. 1 position as the bestselling makeup brand on QVC, and is also a best-selling prestige makeup brand at ULTA Beauty, where products are sold in all 800 stores nationwide.
"I'm truly honored to be recognized as the New Jersey winner for EY's Entrepreneur of the Year," Lima said after the ceremony. "I've dedicated so much of my life to creating game-changing color cosmetics developed to give women life-changing results and to help women look and feel their most beautiful. I feel truly grateful and blessed to be here today and to be honored in this way!"
Co-founder Paulo Lima said the award is an "incredible honor" and recognized the incredible team at IT Cosmetics for helping build this brand together, and also his and Jamie's families for the encouragement and support in the brand's earliest years.
The pair will represent the New Jersey Region at the National EY Entrepreneur of the Year competition later this year in November in Palm Springs.
