Claudia Poccia, former president and CEO of Gurwitch Products (Laura Mercier and RéVive brands), has been named chief marketing officer of Shiseido’s Bare Escentuals brand. Poccia takes over the role from Sandy Saputo, who will remain in an advisory position at Bare Escentuals during the transition. Poccia will report to the president of Bare Escentuals, who will be appointed at a later date.
As CMO and a member of Bare Escentuals’ executive leadership team, Poccia will lead all aspects of the bareMinerals brand and products on a global basis. She will also work closely with Shiseido’s Digital Center of Excellence in New York.
Prior to Gurwitch, Poccia held leadership positions at Avon and Estée Lauder, and currently sits on the board of C.E.W.
Kathy Cullin has been appointed to the newly created position of general manager, Bare Escentuals. Cullin previously served as senior vice president, Prestige-Fragrances and philosophy, for Coty’s Americas business. She is responsible for the commercial business and customer experience of the bareMinerals and Buxom Beauty brands in the U.S., and will also oversee multi-channel direct-to-consumer strategies. Prior to joining Coty, Cullin spent six years in L’Oréal’s Matrix division.
