Job Description:
The position will develop new packaging components based on knowledge of packaging material’s interaction with the formulas in lip and skin care care products. Individual will conduct testing (lab and external) to validate the feasibility. The person will work closely with cross-functional partners. Individual will have responsibility for a variety of packaging projects across multiple formats. Individual will have contact with packaging material suppliers in the U.S. as well as overseas and will be required to coordinate project activities with these suppliers. Individual will be familiar with manufacturing setup and requirements.
Job Responsibilities Include: Develop new packaging components based on knowledge of packaging materials and its interaction with formula. Lead new packaging development initiatives working closely with marketing, product development, operations, and manufacturing. Conduct tests (in lab and external) to validate technology. Develop written packaging specifications and complete through plant trial. Responsible for identifying, defining and solving technical packaging challenges. Support the pipeline development/validation/execution of packaging productivity projects. Understand the financial impact of packaging programs and the linkage to business strategies.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
Key Requirements BS or MS in Package Engineering with extensive knowledge of rigid packaging material or related field. 3+ years of experience in Packaging Development. Solid project management and time management skills enabling a high workflow with excellence. Ability to work in team environment. Develop relationships with peer group outside the function. Learns new technical areas autonomously by consulting internal experts, and industry resources. Attention to detail, prioritization & technical problem solving & sound judgment is essential.
