Finally, Beyoncé has revealed a name and a launch date for her teased about hair care line. Cécred will be available for purchase on February 20, 2024.
The singer initially teased the launch on her Instagram in May of 2023, posting a series of images of herself with tester bottles.
This week, Beyoncé posted another tease on her Instagram in anticipation of the release date reveal—showing what looks like old projector footage of her mom's hair salon.
The name of the line plays on her name similar to her fragrance Cé Noir. However, product details have not been revealed.
Since the initial tease, Beyoncé has expressed a deep connection between herself, her mom and this project.
In an Instagram post, Beyoncé wrote, “I saw first hand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”
Beyonce’s latest Instagram post features her mom Tina’s salon, and videos of customers (and possibly models) getting their hair styled and braided.
“How many of y’all knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon?” Beyoncé commented in the initial Instagram teaser. “Destiny’s Child got out first start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done. I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in her salon.”
Sir John, Beyonce's makeup artist, served as brand ambassador for Kiss products—and serves as the Makeup Creative Director at Kilian Paris.
