Nikki Walton has partnered with Dark and Lovely to launch her new book, When Good Hair Goes Bad: Tips and Tricks for Restoring Your Gorgeous, Healthy, Natural Hair.
Walton is the founder of the largest natural hair blog, Curly Nikki. Her first book, "Better Than Good Hair" (Harper Collins, 2013), became an instant classic selling tens of thousands of copies in its first weeks, making both Publisher's Weekly and The Washington Post Best-Seller's Lists, and receiving an NAACP Image Award nomination for "Best Debut Author".
The new book includes tips for how to re-moisturize, refortify, and regrow hair when it needs to recover from damage. It will be distributed digitally - making it available for her blog's fans to download for just 99 cents.
Walton explains, "With my second book, I wanted to get this useful guide into the hands of as many consumers as possible and that required partners that have interest in empowering women, as well as reach equal to my own. That's not easy and that's not cheap. Luckily, in Dark and Lovely, I've found capable and fearless partners with big imaginations. Make no mistake, this isn't a commercial, this is my 'real' book and we plan to revolutionize the way manufacturers and consumers meet at the point-of-purchase."
