Alexander McQueen - and the fashion house's creative director, Sarah Burton - will launch McQueen Parfum on March 1st, 2016, exclusively at Harrod's before rolling out globally.
The launch marks the start of Alexander McQueen's own in-house fragrance brand, developed in partnership with Procter & Gamble Prestige. The brand's prior fragrances, which were developed by YSL Beaute, were discontinued in 2008.
McQueen Parfum is a rich, white floral by Firmenich, which took three years to develop. It is meant to evoke the late designer's "dark, gothic mood," the brand stated. It contains an unconventional mix of Sambac jasmine, tuberose and ylang-ylang, with topnotes of clove, pink and black pepper, plus vetiver.
The heavy, black glass bottle is decorated with antiqued gold feathers, a gold base and a studded lacquered cap.
The price? The luxury scent will retail for 350 euros, which equals approximately $385 at this time.
