Allure magazine has partnered with SkinBetter to launch an online skin analysis tool.
Jonah Shacknai, cofounder of SkinBetter, said, "SkinBetter is the first digital-analysis system that allows consumers to easily receive objective advice and direction about their skin."
SkinBetter is a system that uses its proprietary algorithm, consumer input and its photo analyzation process - plus, input from the SkinBetter expert advisory board's knowledge of product ingredients.
Users upload a photo and fills out a questionairre. The photo of the user's skin is analyzed to identify wrinkles, spots, redness, and future problem areas. Patented technology developed by the imaging engineers and scientists at Canfield Scientific and SkinBetter is used to analyze the photo.
Consumers will be able to shop by recommended product, skin concern, skin type, product type, or brand.
Linda Wells, editor in chief, Allure, commented:
"Most women are confused about their skin type and its needs. And when they shop for skin-care products, they're overwhelmed by the excess of choice and the dearth of reliable guidance to make that choice. SkinBetter brings accuracy and expertise to finding products and taking care of your skin at home."
The system will be available on skinbetter.com and allure.com and in the Apple App and Google Play stores.
