Wahl, maker of the first hair clipper and battery operated trimmer, conducted research on men’s grooming routines.
The study showed that over half of all men learned to groom from their dads or a father-like figure – and men will be embracing this tradition for years to come.
Of those who received dad's grooming guidance, most remember it as an important moment in time. In fact, 88 percent of those who learned to groom from their father described it as a meaningful or bonding experience.
In addition, 62 percent of guys 18-24 said they learned how to trim their facial hair from their dad and 40 percent learned from dad how to cut their own hair.
Steven Yde, marketing director for Wahl Clipper Corporation, said: "As a manufacturer of men's grooming tools, we appreciate that the products we make not only serve the utilitarian needs of those trying to get through the morning routine, but something much more meaningful and special."
To help celebrate the father-son grooming tradition, Wahl’s latest campaign on its Facebook page asks men to share a photo of themselves with their dad. Those who visit the Wahl Grooming facebook page now through June 8 can enter the Wahl "Faces of Father's Day" sweepstakes, for a chnace to win one of five grooming kits.
