MakeUp Geek, Beautycounter, and FabFitFun are on the panel.

Indie brands, and more specifically, entrepreneurial brands, have always been a big part of the MakeUp In LosAngeles show since its debut in 2016. The conference session “The rise of the new entrepreneurs and the Indie Brands Influence,” on Wednesday, February 7 at 10:15 am will feature three successful Los-Angeles-based Indie brands.

Guests will have the opportunity to hear from Marlena Stell, founder of indie brand MakeUp Geek; Christy Coleman, chief artistic officer, Beautycounter, a brand known for its ‘Never List’ of ‘blacklisted’ ingredients; and Gina Kohler, head of product development at FabFitFun, a fast-growing subscription company.

Leila Rochet-Podvin, founder of Cosmetics Inspiration & Creation, will moderate the panel, which will include a presentation by each speaker followed by a roundtable discussion. The speakers will each share a few of the key factors behind the success of these Indie companies.
