The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) recently announced the formation of a third brand cluster, to strengthen the organization’s leading position in the Prestige Beauty industry.
Jane Hertzmark Hudis has been promoted to executive group president (EGP). According to ELC, “Throughout her outstanding career, she has made a significant impact driving brand-building expertise, spearheading the elevation of marketing and talent, and leading her portfolio of brands to achieve outstanding broad-based growth across categories, regions and channels.” In her EGP role, her portfolio of brands will include Estée Lauder, La Mer, Bobbi Brown, Aerin, Origins, Aveda, Bumble and bumble, Dr. Jart+ and Do The Right Thing. She will continue to report directly to Fabrizio Freda, president and CEO.
John Demsey, a current EGP, will evolve his brand portfolio. He will continue to oversee M·A·C, Clinique, Becca, Too Faced, Smashbox, GlamGlow and Tom Ford Beauty, and will be a key advisor to ELC’s “new brand integration capability.” He will also continue to lead the company’s creative organization, and will continue to report directly to Fabrizio Freda.
Stéphane de La Faverie has been promoted to group president, while continuing in his role as GBP, Estée Lauder and Aerin. His new portfolio of brands includes Jo Malone London, Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Le Labo, Darphin, Lab Series, By Kilian, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, Rodin olio lusso and Prescriptives. He will report directly to Fabrizio Freda in his role as group president, and will continue to report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis for his GBP responsibilities for Estée Lauder and Aerin.
