As the clean beauty movement continues to expand, the team at Clean Beauty Collective is constantly looking for ways to evolve and demonstrate our mission of “simple, trusted, conscious.” We have been aiming to set the standard for world-class fragrances since 2003, always putting what our consumers want first. That said, we know we are not perfect and strive to make improvements in everything we do. As the leader of this dynamic and passionate team, I know that it is in the focused wins that we build momentum and propel ourselves forward, especially in times like these.
To ensure a healthy and happy planet for future generations, our packaging is eco-conscious. We work with partners that use green and solar-powered manufacturing practices whenever possible. We recently made some revisions to our existing portfolio in the evolution of our packaging and our goal to continue to become even more sustainable. We moved from a setup box to SBS folding cartons on our Clean Reserve collection, so it is now 100% recyclable. The Clean Classic collection was redesigned to streamline our look and feel, including moving away from decorated glass to flint glass, reducing our carbon footprint by over 50% on the glass manufacturing. The caps for Clean Reserve are made from sustainably sourced wood.
Each and every fragrance from our portfolio is crafted with the finest ingredients. Our Clean Reserve eco-conscious fragrance collection features sustainable ingredients whenever possible to support the farmers and their local communities. For our Clean Reserve Solar Bloom fragrance, we chose sustainable vetiver from Haiti to help provide safe drinking water to the farmers and their families.
Also, in celebration of Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary in April of 2020, Clean Beauty Collective partnered with Earth Day Network to help protect our planet and the bees. Clean Beauty Collective sponsored the Protect Our Species campaign to help protect endangered bees. Bees may be small, but they are mighty pollinators vital for healthy plants, flowers, and ecosystems. The Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar scent (shown on page 60) features hand-selected, sustainable ambrette seeds harvested by farmers in El Salvador. The ambrette seeds create a natural musk that lingers on the skin and is met by intoxicating warm Orris Butter, White Cedarwood, and Liquid Musk for an addictive dynamic. To celebrate the partnership, Radiant Nectar is offered in a limited-edition bottle adorned with a bee to help raise awareness of the collaboration.
Amid a global pandemic, the world will inevitably continue to change. We will adapt and use this opportunity to self-reflect and push forward with our brand promise to be mindful of the people and the planet.
