    The second edition of ADF&PCD New York—the Aerosol & Dispensing Forum and Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design—will take place on September 6 and 7, at The Altman Building & Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan.

    ADF&PCD New York is organized by EFI US, Inc., which is based in New York City. The show follows the successful format established by ADF&PCD Paris. The event’s unique proposition is its two-shows-in-one offering, based on synergistic markets.

    “We are very excited about several enhancements we are making this year, for our second edition in New York” says Christelle Anya, event director, ADF&PCD. “As a new show in the American market, it is very important to focus on brand awareness, so we have a new initiative to greatly expand our reach in both the beauty and personal care markets.”

    Anya says more visitors are expected this year as a result of its outreach efforts, including a larger turnout from personal care companies. The show attracts international executives who specialize in packaging and aerosols—from R&D, innovation, development, purchasing, sourcing, production, quality control, marketing and general management teams.

    More than 120 exhibitors will be set up in an easy-to-navigate layout with standard booth designs. Visitors will be given the Easyfairs “Virtual Smart Badge,” which uses NFC technology to make the process of contacting an exhibiting company simple and efficient.

    Exhibitors are specialists in airless systems, dispensing technologies, decoration, labels, inserts, films, pouches, folding boxes, glass bottles, plastic containers, aerosol cans and anti-counterfeit solutions—plus more. There will also be POS manufacturers, fillers, machinery manufacturers and color management specialists on the show floor. 

    Conferences Cover Trends, Innovations & More

    The conference program, which attracted standing-room-only crowds last year, is designed to educate and inspire attendees. The ADF conferences will focus on market trends, technical advances, digital printing and eco-design. Speakers include executives from Beiersdorf AG, Kao Europe Research Laboratories, L’Oréal USA, McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry and the National Aerosol Association—plus an array of aerosol and dispensing suppliers.

    The PCD conferences will include speakers from Colgate-Palmolive, Birchbox, Glossybox and Crafting Beauty, discussing global beauty trends, sustainability challenges, packaging for e-commerce, innovation, and consumer trends.

    Attendees will notice a big change to the format of the PCD conferences this year. Anya explains, “In an effort to serve our communities and facilitate a higher level of networking opportunities, we are evolving the format of the PCD Conference Program.

    The sessions will include built-in networking time for speakers and attendees to chat. Even the layout of the physical seminar room will foster the exchange of ideas and conversation.”

    The Innovation Awards

    The ADF&PCD Innovation Awards recognize outstanding achievements while encouraging the industry to push technological and creative boundaries in aerosol, dispensing, personal care and cosmetic packaging.

    Winners will be announced on September 6 during an awards ceremony, when each winner will give a short presentation explaining their inspiration. The winners were selected by a jury that includes executives from Coty, Colgate-Palmolive, Estée Lauder, Kao USA and Pratt Institute.
