In the Beauty world especially, pink packaging has become a symbol in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Many brands launch special items for the cause, while others embellish products with a pink accessory or repackage existing skus in a meaningful way. Still others donate a portion of October’s sales of certain products, pink or not, to The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (NBCF)

Perhaps no company makes a larger effort than The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC)—and its 2015 Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Campaign proves it.

Evelyn H. Lauder launched the program in 1992 with the creation of the Pink Ribbon, which became the universal symbol for breast health. The BCA Campaign has raised more than $58 million to support global research, education and medical services, with close to $46 million funding 185 Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) medical research grants worldwide over the past 21 years.

This year, 15 of the ELC beauty brands will join together to raise funds for education and medical research through the sale of Pink Ribbon Products or by making a donation to BCRF. In addition, Tom Ford Beauty will donate $50,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in North America in 2015; purchase of Tom Ford Beauty products will not impact the amount of the donation.

Here’s a look in the slideshow above at these and other brands backing this worthy cause.
