Arkay Introduces New Technologies
Three New Technologies Arkay Packaging has introduced three new technologies: Interfoil, Touch and Spectrum. According to Arkay, its in-line, cold foiling process, Interfoil, manages to be both cost-effective and luminous in its beauty and scope, bringing radiance to packaging by providing a larger palette on which to design. Arkay says it is the only company doing this process with UV in the U.S. Touch is the company’s new aqueous coating, with a specialized veneer, which according to Arkay, produces a finish that is sensuous and distinctive; its tactile feel comes from a specialized, highperformance liquid-like coating that results in a soft and yielding surface. The third technology is Spectrum, which uses UV ink to produce results similar to six- or seven-color printing via fourcolor printing. More info: www.arkay.com
