Diverse and community-driven beauty brand Live Tinted has closed a Series A Fundraising round of $10 million led by Monogram Capital Partners, bringing the brand’s lifetime funding to $15 million to-date.
To-date, Live Tinted has sold 1 million units and continues to grow rapidly with its presence and retail expansion at Ulta Beauty. Founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Deepica Mutyala, the brand launched their hero product, Huestick, in 2019 which sold out immediately and accumulated a 10,000+ person waitlist. Over four years later, Live Tinted has now raised this Series A funding to accelerate retail growth at Ulta Beauty, continue product innovation and category expansion, and implement additional marketing and executive hires.
“Live Tinted started for me as a way to bring an underrepresented community together. The process of raising and closing the funding was one of the toughest business journeys I’ve been through, especially as a woman of color,” says Mutyala. “I wanted to find the right partners and investors to share my vision and beliefs for Live Tinted’s future, who could also help the brand continue to grow and make a mark in the beauty industry.”
Live Tinted champions multicultural beauty and is on a mission to make a mark on the beauty industry by “creating innovative and effective makeup and skincare solutions for all skin types and tones, unifying any and all underrepresented communities.” The brand is the first-ever South Asian brand to be available at Ulta, and continues to be a fast-growing beauty brand in the retailers’ Sparked program.
Live Tinted says it will continue to listen to its community’s needs to create clean, vegan, cruelty-free, high-quality and effective beauty products that bridge the gaps in the beauty market today.
