    Last week, Google and YouTube shared what the top beauty searches and most viewed tutorials for 2020 were.
     
    People jumped on the self-care trend this year and had more time at home to focus on beauty routines. As a result, beauty topics, including skin care and haircare, top both Google's annual Year in Search 2020 and the YouTube Trends report. The pandemic even inspired a new type of YouTube beauty tutorial, "Video Call Beauty Tips."
     
    In personnel news, Revlon Inc. appointed Martine Williamson as the company’s chief marketing officer. Williamson will be central to creating and spearheading global strategic plans across the brand portfolio and overseeing Revlon’s overall brand equity and architecture.
