Shiseido Americas Corporation has appointed Shannon Britton as chief information officer, effective September 14, 2020.
Britton will oversee all enterprise-wide IT application activities and platforms for Shiseido Americas including operations in Canada and Latin America. She will play a key role in introducing new enterprise technology capabilities that drive Shiseido Americas’ business, deliver customer experiences, and ensure scale to support Shiseido Americas’ growth objectives. As a member of Shiseido Americas’ Executive Leadership Team, Britton will further leverage the company’s IT capabilities to support its portfolio of prestige beauty brands while working closely with Shiseido’s Global Headquarters on the implementation of key IT infrastructure projects for Shiseido Group. Britton will report to Ron Gee, interim CEO of Shiseido Americas.
“We are thrilled to welcome Shannon to the Shiseido Americas Family,” said Gee. “Shannon will be an integral part of the Americas Team as our organization continues to invest in leading edge platforms to advance business intelligence, planning and efficiency across our end-to-end supply chain. At a time when the digitization of the retail experience is a critical focus for companies in our industry and beyond, Shiseido Americas is fortunate to have identified a strong IT leader whose track record of helping to position organizations for technological growth so perfectly aligns with our own digital transformation.”
Experience
Britton joins Shiseido Americas most recently from Diageo, a global producer of spirits and beers. During her time at Diageo, Britton served as head of IT for the Americas, where she was responsible for the design, deployment and support of all regional applications.
Prior to Diageo, Britton spent several years at IBM Global Business Consulting Services, where she was responsible for SAP implementation for clients such as Gillette, Nabisco and Pitney-Bowes.
“I could not be more excited to join the Shiseido Americas team. As an organization, Shiseido is renowned as much for the quality and beauty of its products as for its dedication to innovation, science and technology,” commented Britton. “I am looking forward to contributing to Shiseido Americas’ strategic growth plans, and in particular, helping its many brands and functions to realize their ambitions by providing robust, flexible IT platforms that scale seamlessly with their vast potential.”
