Frederic Arbel, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing Luxury, Coty, accepted the award for Gucci Guilty. The campaign stars Jared Leto and Lana Del Ray.
“This new chapter for Gucci Guilty is a modern declaration of self-expression and fearlessness. The story of two individuals completely free from life’s expectations — who live and love outside of social conformism,” said Arbel, describing the television spot.
Javier Zotes, vice president of marketing, Puig, U.S., accepted the award for Paco Rabanne 1 Million. “The one million attitude is reinvented, bringing a free and universal message embodied by a crew of actors and dancers — and of course the main character, the young American hip-hop prodigy, Joey Badass," he said.
Zotes continued, "For the music, we went back to 1979 and selected Rapper’s Delight from Sugarhill Gang — the first rap anthem in history. Over this super cool beat, director Paul Gore, responsible for the first 1 Million campaign, came back with a really feel-good film.”
Next, Carolina Herrera New York’s creative director Wes Gordon announced the Packaging of the Year winners -- and Coty's Arbel accepted a second award for Gucci.
