Coty Professional is sharing its initiatives to help those affected by the Covid-19 crisis -- with a focus on helping salon owners and professional stylists.
Coty's Professional Beauty Division includes Wella, ghd, OPI, Clairol, and more.
Coty Pro has established a $200k fund -- and salon professionals can apply for help through Hairdressers at Heart, a community founded by Wella. (See the IG post below for more information.)
The company is also underwriting a Pay It Forward Program -- so salons can offer gift cards and incentives for customers to pre-book services, and pre-pay.
Coty Pro has also donated 180k gloves, and 600 coverings to healthcare workers and medical providers on the frontlines.
Coty was also one of the first companies to respond to the hand sanitizer shortage, and is currently manufacturing and distributing it. (Sidenote: Now the hand sanitizer market is surging, forecasters say.)
In support of professional stylists, Coty Pro and Wella offer a virtual classroom. Wella posts new classes each week on Instagram Live at WellaEducation. (See the account's post below about Hairdresses at Heart.)
Not forgetting all the teachers and students, Coty Pro has donated 800 iPad minis to schools to help kids that don't have a computer keep up with schoolwork.
