eSalon has launched in the UK, with a new website - esalon.co.uk, as well as a new customer service team. Plans are also in the works to expand into Canada and the EU. Within the EU, eSalon will ship directly to Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden, with customer service centralized through their new London office.
Based in the US, eSalon creates custom hair color for its clients, which is delivered by mail for at-home use. Since the company's launch in 2010, eSalon has produced more than 80,000 unique hair color formulations and has shipped over 1 million color applications. They have over 100,000 active customers, 85% of which receive their color products via recurring subscription.
"Until now, a woman's only option was to spend a significant sum in a salon, or try to choose from endless aisles of one-size-fits-all boxed colors," says Francisco Gimenez, eSalon's Co-Founder and CEO. "We've turned the color market on its head, by delivering custom formulated salon-quality color for less than they would tip a colorist. We are excited about our continued success, confirmation of our vision and expansion overseas."
Estelle Baumhauer, international master colorist and eSalon's Color Director, who has over 20 years experience at prestige salons around the world, says "it's exciting for me to make great professional color available to all women, not just to women of means - and for this opportunity to be extended to women in Canada, the UK and across Europe."
