Beauty industry professionals will come together for a celebration with a twist at City of Hope’s 2009 Spirit of Life Gala. Celebrate with industry icons Kim Vo, Angus Mitchell, The Doves, Dean Banowetz, Damien Carney and more, alongside longtime industry friends and colleagues at a masquerade evening for a special cause. Wear a mask, mingle and be seen, or be anonymous.
The gala will be held July 20 at the Mandalay Bay ResortCasino, Las Vegas in honor of Cheryl and Jim Markham, founders of PureOlogy Serious Colour Care, recognizing their outstanding philanthropic and business achievements. Actress Debi Mazar will host the masquerade gala and will present The Spirit of Life Award to the Markhams.
“This year we got creative and decided to introduce a masquerade theme,” said Cheryl Markham. “Masks were first used for Carnevale in 1094 in Venice, Italy. At the time, masks made it possible for aristocrats to mingle publicly in the crowds. We know everyone will enjoy the Carnivale-like festivities at this year’s Spirit of Life event.”
All are invited to “Create Beauty – Unmask Hope” at the masquerade gala. Masks are a must and will be available for purchase at the door with proceeds benefiting City of Hope.
