is launching now in the U.S. The products, which are based on "super" hyaluronic acid, will be sold in the non-prestige market at select retailers, including all 550 Ulta Stores nationwide, as well at at Drugstore.com. The products range in price from $11.99 - $24.99.
Hada Labo was launched by The Mentholatum Company, a division of Japan's Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., in Japan in 2004. The Hada Labo skin care products are so popular in Asia, a bottle of its Clear Liquid Hydrator is sold every two seconds.
The brand's signature "Super Hyaluronic Acid" is a proprietary combination of three types of hyaluronic acid to provide long-lasting moisture, claiming to effectively restore and strengthen skin's natural hydrating ability that depletes with age and sun exposure.
So - what does the packaging look like?
The white boxes, plastic bottles, and tubes are beautifully adorned with a cherry blossom tree branch. The packaging also features the brand's signature colors - large blocks of red and black highlight the product names and benefits.
