Lauder Creates New Role for LOreal Exec

The Estée Lauder Companies announced the appointment of Pamela Gill Alabaster as head of Corporate Responsibility. She will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of the company's global Corporate Responsibility strategy.

Prior, Alabaster held various senior leadership marketing and management roles at L'Oréal USA, most recently serving as senior vice president corporate communications, Sustainable Development & Public Affairs.

Alabaster will report to Mr. Gregory Polcer, executive vice president, global supply chain; and Peter Jueptner, senior vice president, strategy and new business development, co-chairs of the Company's Corporate Responsibility efforts, under the leadership of Executive Chairman, William P. Lauder.

William P. Lauder stated, "Pam's experience, perspective and leadership will be instrumental in the formal establishment and success of our Corporate Responsibility function..."

Lauder also said, "Corporate Responsibility has been an important part of our Company's success since its founding. As we continue to grow and prosper globally, it is critical that we continue to understand and serve the needs of our consumers, engage with the communities where we live and work, and leverage our collective talents in every brand, region and function to ensure our sustainable, profitable future.

Greg Polcer, executive vice president, Global Supply Chain, commented, "The establishment of a formal Corporate Responsibility function will enable us to better integrate and drive more sustainable practices throughout the organization around the world."

Peter Jueptner, Senior Vice President, Strategy and New Business Development., added, "Pam's insight and proven ability to successfully build strategic collaborations will contribute greatly to our global strategy in this important new function, and help to broaden our Company's understanding and ability to deliver what our consumers, employees, shareholders, investors and other stakeholders expect from us."
