CurlKit, which launched a subscription service in March 2012, has announced that its number of subscribes rose greatly during its first year, representing a five-thousand percent increase.
CurlKit is for women with natural curly hair. Each month, subscribers receive a box filled with 7 to 10 different full and sample size products. The selection includes pomades, conditioners, and natural hair tools from well-known brands, as well as new products from emerging brands. The monthly CurlLife Magazine is also included.
"Although, there are other companies that provide similar services to the Natural Hair community, CurlKit has taken these services to an entirely new level by providing not only product samples, but also tutorials, videos, how to manuals and information to help women who have been lifelong naturals, as well as women who are newly naturals,” said Heather Cummings, founder and marketing director, CurlKit.
Cummings added, "We are very honored and humbled by this phenomenal growth, and the outpouring of support we have experienced."
