DISC, which provides specialty packaging solutions, has announced the addition of a new customized Komori LSX offset press to its existing printing and finishing equipment located in the supplier's Hauppauge, NY facility.
The new press offers DISC's customers benefits that include cost-savings, enhanced quality, and accelerated speed to market, according to Margaret Krumholz, president, DISC.

The new press has the ability to provide greater versatility, productivity and value-added capabilities for clients in the beauty industry. Komori America is a leader in print technology, and has configured its high-performance LSX series to meet DISC’s exacting specifications for high output, high quality printing on a variety of substrates.
The 40” 12-unit press includes two coaters and two drying units. Features include an integrated self-learning capability, artificial intelligence, a two-camera defect detection system, closed loop inking, registration, and more.
