Stylists representing P&G's Wella Professional often work backstage at various fashion weeks around the world, and then translate the looks into styles real women can wear -- with the help of a few styling products.
For the spring/summer 2013 fashion show circuit, which recently ended, styling teams were led by Eugene Souleiman, Wella's global creative director, care & styling. In addition to participating in New York Fashion Week, Wella Professionals also sponsored Wella styling teams from local salons at shows in Boston and Los Angeles.
After countless hairstyles from more than twenty Wella-sponsored shows in NY, Boston and LA strutted down the catwalk, Wella Professionals determined the top trends from the runways in all three cities. These trends can easily be achieved by women at home, if they have the right types of hair styling products - so product developers might want to take notice.
One trend, according to Wella, is "polished perfection." This style requires hair styling products that will help create sleek, straight locks.
Another trend is "embellished braids," which requires hair with a certain texture. Texture can be achieved using products such as Wella Professionals Rugged Fix Matte Molding Creme.
The last trend is ponytails, which were especially abundant on the catwalks in New York. At the Spring 2013 Acne show, Souleiman, used Wella Professionals Shimmer Delight Shine Spray to finish off the pulled back look.
