Nude by Rihanna will launch at Macy's on Black Friday, 2012. This is the pop star's third fragrance, in collaboration with Parlux, following Reb'l Fleur and Rebelle.
The packaging is inspired by stiletto heels. It is described as having a distinct feminine edge with a twisting matte ribbon layered over precious metal.
The color of the fragrance itself is transparent, playing off of the Nude theme. Top notes evoke her native Barbados with guava, nectar, mandarin and pear. Orange blossoms, gardenia petals and velvet jasmine sambac make up the heart. The base is sandalwood, second-skin musk and hints of vanilla orchid.
Chairman and CEO of Parlux Ltd., Fred Purches, commented on the exciting new venture, stating that "Rihanna is one of the world's most talented artists. She is a captivating young woman who knows what she wants and perfectly balances strength and femininity. Her third fragrance, Nude by Rihanna, was formulated to capture Rihanna's distinct brand of sensuality."
