Lady Gaga spread the news herself on Twitter: "The reaction to Fame has been overwhelming. Six million bottles in one week makes it the second fastest selling fragrance after Coco Chanel."
The fragrance's black egg-shaped bottle and gold claw-inspired cap must be appealing to her Lil' Monsters.
Before the fragrance's launch, the folks at Coty did say to expect an extensive marketing campaign -- calling it "
unprecedented and groundbreaking." I guess their plan is working.
