MAC’s international team of more than 60 makeup artists have been hard at work testing new product prototypes at recent, and upcoming fashion shows, while creating looks on models backstage. For Spring/Summer 2013, MAC Cosmetics’ makeup artists are testing a new moisturizing lipstick, a brow gel and pencil, new face moisturizers and new lip and eye shades.
Makeup artists report to MAC’s Product Development team, commenting on a product’s performance, and then formulations are often tweaked many times – years before they will reach consumers.
MAC Cosmetics is the official makeup brand of London Fashion Week, which begins tomorrow, where fashion designers are showcasing their Spring / Summer 2013 collections. The brand was also backstage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion week in New York, which ended yesterday.
