Scent Commemorates Marriage Equality

On June 24, 2011, the Marriage Equality Act was signed into law by a bipartisan vote and gender-neutral marriages became legal throughout New York State. Now comes a native New York eau de parfum that celebrates the state’s legalization of same-sex marriage. I Love NY for Marriage Equality is the seventh collaboration between the I Love NY brand—a state agency—and Bond No. 9, the Manhattan-based perfumery specializing in New York-centric fragrances. Soft and sensual, the modern-day woody-spicy, gender free scent opens with notes of mandarin, nutmeg, plum, and cinnamon bark. These segue into a heart of rose and jasmine laced with ginger lily. Then, the scent endures with cashmere wood, sandalwood and amber notes. Bond No. 9’s bottle is “bridal” white and displays the iconic I Love NY logo with the gay rainbow on its heart. I Love NY for Marriage Equality arrives in stores on July 24, 2012, and will be sold for 100ml, $175; 50ml, $105.
