Asian-Inspired Skin Care Line Debuts

Model, designer, and entrepreneur Kimora Lee Simmons recently debuted her first skin care line called Shinto Clinical. She partnered with Makari de Suisse to develop the line, which includes a “blend of ancient Asian ingredients and the latest breakthroughs in Western bioactive technology to combat the most problematic skin care concerns.” Shinto Clinical is backed by New York dermatologist Dr. Eric Schweiger, and is designed to promote long-term anti-aging benefits while restoring skin's luminosity and vitality. It includes Omegapearl-18, an anti-aging complex formulated from Pearl Powder, Wakame Kelp and Beta-Glucan Mushroom to treat skin inflammation. The line, which sports chic black and silver and clear componentry, has eight products including: Wash Away the Years Anti-Aging Peptide Cleanser, Watch Your Tone Anti-Aging Peptide Toner, Micro Manage Instant Microdermabrasion Cream, Wrinkle Shrink Instant Wrinkle Eraser, Pore It Out Instant Pore Concealer & Treatment, All Evens Out Skin Lightening Treatment, @Lash Eyelash Growth Enhancer, and Smooth Answer Anti-Wrinkle & Moisture Boost Cream. With prices ranging from $32 to $68, the line is sold in the US at Nordstrom stores, Rob Robinson/Fred Segal, ShintoClinical.com, and QVC.com.
