Greatest Hits, an artistic collaborative group that includes Melbourne, Australia based artists Gavin Bell, Jarrah de Kuijer & Simon McGlinn reached out to scent company Air Aroma for help creating a fragrance for their upcoming art exhibition. The aroma requested — the scent of an Apple product being unwrapped for the first time. The scent features the smell of the plastic wrap covering the box, printed ink on the cardboard, the smell of paper and plastic components within the box and the aluminum laptop which has come straight from the factory where it was assembled in China, according to Air Aroma. The fragrance will be diffused with the company’s Aroslim diffuser for the duration of the artistic exhibition. The fragrance forms part of an exhibition at West Space, which is entitled 'De facto Standard.' It runs April 20th to May 12th in Melbourne. The Apple unboxing scent was created for use at this particular exhibition only and is not available for purchase.
